Malus transitoria ‘Schmidtcutleaf’ Golden Raindrops which is a cutleaf crabapple and is one of the Great Plant Pick picks for the Pacific Northwest.

I am not very familiar with crabapples and kinda thought it was more of a “southern” type tree… but in my reading one thing I liked about them in general is that they seem to have a lot of little red apples that birds love… I like attracting animals to my garden.  This variety has golden yellow fruit (opposed to red in our list 4 plants) that can blush red depending on the weather (colder).  The other cool thing is the leaves are finely textured and deeply cut giving the tree and elegant appearance.
